Steel Staircase Types
Our steel staircases include many different designs such as straight flight, quarter turn, half turn spine beam and spiral staircases. Each of our staircases can be fully customised with a wide range of handrails, Wrought Ironwork, balustrade and tread options to suit all uses and complement any colour scheme.
We have also created many unique commissions for centerpiece stairwells using a range of materials such as wood, glass, and stainless steel.
Straight-flight Stairs
In residential installations, the most common solution is to use a straight flight of stairs in a single flight, because this is almost always the most efficient and economical way to achieve the necessary rise. The stair can be concealed to some degree behind a partition or set against one of the walls, removing the necessity to provide balustrade on both sides. further reducing the cost and the footprint of the stair. This is the most commonly installed format of stair in Steel Metalworks residential projects.
Spiral Staircases
In order to effectively realise a feature spiral staircase, the project must be managed from initial concept to final installation. The process of realising the perfect assembly of material, and synchronising it to the demands of a particular space is key in the initial design. Advances in technology have allowed us to push past the ordinary boundaries of traditional staircase design.
Balustrade
Balustrade is a unique style of edge protection and railing designed with simplicity in mind for interior and exterior purpose. We can design, manufacture and install stainless steel and glass Balustrade to enhance your staircase, balcony or decking. Wrought Ironwork
Wrought Iron balustrades are individual works of hand forged art, each an original, and each tailored to your home or business. We can assist you in the creation of ornamental stairs and railings to enhance and present an elegant but traditional feel to your stair.
Spine Beam Staircases
A Spine Beam Staircase is a complex project and often installed in commercial buildings forming part of a showpiece layout in high-exposure foyers, showrooms, or corporate offices. A spine beam staircase, can easily become an eyesore if implemented poorly. If managed well, Spine Beam stairs can support the overall design concept, presenting a minimalistic and open space.
